Contracts and their management tend to be linked to General Counsels and legal departments. But, that isn’t the reality. There are a lot of different business types and folks that use (and really need) contracts. Let’s talk about one particular group – Event Managers.
In the hustle and bustle of planning and executing events, contracts may get overlooked and even forgotten. A small luncheon or a 300-person wedding all come with the same level of risk. Forfeited payments, cancellations without fines or even possible lawsuits can be outcomes without contracts. The risk is real. Having contracts like rental agreements, cancellation policies, credit card authorizations and more will eliminate those risks. In turn, will make you, the venue and the stakeholders happy and on the same page.
